The Challenge
The Deviare and Microsoft partnership is about much more than just skills development. It is about stemming the tide of youth unemployment by providing unprecedented access to new opportunities in the digital landscape. Our focus is on equipping young South Africans with the digital growth skills to compete and contribute to our economy.
Our Solution
In our commitment to deliver digital skill excellence that will drive the 4rth industrial revolution in Africa, Deviare has partnered with organisations and institutions with the same vision. We developed our Virtual Global Apprenticeship, in partnership with Microsoft, to give South African students competitive skills and workplace exposure where they could apply their learnings in real time.
The Results
We have trained over 1500 students in various courses ranging from 6 weeks to 6 months.
Our highest certification rates were in Linux training, coding and data analytics.
Post training, our graduates pursued careers in:

Cloud administration
Software development
Cyber security engineering
Entrepreneurship
Many of our beneficiaries secure employment as data analysts, cloud administrators, software developers and cyber security engineers while a few have been courageous enough to start their own businesses.
