About the Programme

SARS Graduate Programme

This is an 18-month programme offering six learning tracks, created in collaboration between Microsoft and Deviare for the South African Revenue Service (SARS).

This intensive, hands-on programme is designed for ambitious individuals ready to launch their careers in technology. With expert mentorship, structured training, and career readiness support, this isn't just a course - it's your launchpad into the tech industry. Successful candidates will be placed into one of the learning tracks based on their assessment results.

The Application Process in 5 Steps

Step 1: Sign up

Create your profile, complete aptitude & behavioral assessments, and upload all required documentation to begin your application.

Step 2: Shortlisting

We review your profile to check if you meet all specified programme requirements. Candidates are shortlisted based on their documents and assessment scores.

Step 3: Interviews

Successfully shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in interviews to further assess their suitability for the programme.

Step 4: Feedback & Offer

We'll provide timely feedback. Successful candidates who have passed all prior stages will receive a conditional offer to join the programme.

Step 5: Contracting & Onboarding

Once the offer is accepted, you will receive a contract. The final step is the official onboarding process to welcome you to the programme.

Programme Requirements

  • Applicants must be between 22 and 28 years old.
  • Must reside in Gauteng or be willing to relocate to Gauteng at own cost.
  • Must not be currently engaged in any other learnership or internship.
  • Must be unemployed and not currently studying.
  • Must hold an NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification in one of the following fields:
    • BSc Mathematics
    • BCom Finance / Information Systems
    • Computer Science
    • ICT or a related qualification

Programme Duration

  • Duration: 18 Months

Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a thorough selection process, including assessments and interviews, to identify individuals with the passion and potential to contribute effectively to the SARS Graduate Programme.

Background checks (ID verification, qualification verification, ITC/credit check, and criminal record check) will be conducted. Admission into the programme will be subject to the successful completion of these checks.
