Aptitude is the natural ability to do something. Once it is established, teaching skills like coding or robotics is a function of time and process.

Questions we get asked a lot
Is it really free to register?
Yes, completely. There is no cost to create a profile, take the aptitude assessment, upload your documents or access the free courses. The platform is funded by Deviare and its enterprise partners so that young people can access opportunity at no cost.
Do I need to travel for assessments or interviews?
No. Across all recruitment and contracting phases, you will never be required to travel. All assessments, pre-screening and interviews happen remotely.
What if I have no tech experience at all?
That is perfectly fine, and expected. Our assessments are neutral to digital and technology topics. Most candidates meet these topics for the first time in the programme. We assess your natural ability, not what you already know.
How does the aptitude assessment work?
It covers aptitude (critical thinking, numerical, verbal, mechanical and inductive reasoning, and arithmetic) and behaviour (situational judgement, learning agility, resilience and adaptability). It is used to find the learning paths that suit you best, not to exclude you.
What is a learnership and will I get paid?
A learnership is a 12 to 24 month accredited programme that combines theory with workplace practice. It includes a skills programme agreement and a monthly stipend, and leads to a full NQF qualification. Learnerships are competitive, so register and complete your profile early.
What documents do I need to upload?
Your South African ID, highest qualification certificate, an updated CV, proof of bank account and your matric certificate or equivalent. If you have a disability, please upload proof of disability too. These are used for verification and unlock sponsored programme applications.
Why are background checks required?
Checks are done for shortlisted candidates only and cover identity, qualifications, bank account and criminal record. They eliminate fraud and protect everyone in the programme, including you.
Can I access free courses while waiting for a programme?
Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Free Microsoft AI and AWS courses are available from the moment you register. Completing them while you wait strengthens your profile and shows commitment to programme partners.
What qualifications do I need to apply?
It depends on the programme. Internships need a tertiary qualification. Learnerships usually need a matric certificate or equivalent. Skills programmes and vendor courses are more flexible. We put aptitude before qualifications: if you show ability, we want to work with you.
Which companies sponsor the programmes?
Programmes are funded by leading organisations including SARS, Sasol, Microsoft, Ogilvy, ATC, MICT SETA, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Mimecast and many more. Enterprise sponsorship is how learners receive stipends and real workplace experience.
